The summary of the itinerary
Day 1arrival in Cairo with the rest of the day free at leisure
Day 2 Cairo Tour: visiting the pyramids of Giza, The Egyptian Museum, the citadel of Saladin, and Khan Al Khalili Bazar
Day 3travel to Bahariya Oasis, and visit the Valley of the Golden Mummies, reach Bahariya, check out, and overnight in the hotel
Day 4the Western desert tour visiting, the Black Desert, The Crystal Mountain, and the White Desert. Overnight in the camp in the desert
Day 5We reach the Farafra Oasis and we start by visiting the Badr Museum, afterwards we travel to Dakhla Oasis to visit the Temple of Deir Al Hagar and Al Qaser. Overnight in the hotel in the Dakhla
Day 6We travel to the Kharga Oasis visiting the Temple of Nadura, the Kharga Museum, and the Temple of Hibis. Overnight in the hotel in Kharga
Day 7we continue our ride in the Western Desert heading towards Luxor. Check in and overnight in the hotel in Luxor
Day 8take the plane from Luxor to Cairo for the final departure
The full itinerary of the Tour:
Day 1 : Cairo Upon arrival in Cairo, the guest will meet Egyptcal Tours representative who will be your best friend for the coming five days. We only deal with local highly educated and experienced company representatives who have fluent English and wonderful communication skills,
After the "meet and greet", the guest will be transferred to his hotel, his home away from home, using the best comfortable air-conditioned minivans
The guest will check in the hotel in a few minutes to enable him/her to rest and refresh for an amazing tour of Cairo in the next day.
The rooms in the hotel are designed to suit the needs of any travelers having all sorts of facilities - Overnight in the hotel
Day 2 : Cairo The guest will enjoy a delicious breakfast to energize his power for his tour in Cairo.
After breakfast, you will meet up with your highly educated long experienced Egyptologist who will escort you for the rest of the day.
Your first stop will be at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities hosting the largest collection of Pharaonic displays in the whole world including the startling treasures of King Tut Ankh Amun and the Royal mummies' hall. This is besides many other exhibitions form different Pharaonic periods. Your tour of the Museum will be accompanied by the perfect illustration of different stages of the Egyptian history
Your next visit will be to discover the Saladin Citadel, built by the great Ayoubid king and warrior, Salah El Dine Al Ayouby between 1176 and 1183 AD to protect Cairo and Egypt against the foreign attacks. This citadel became the seat of the power in Egypt for a very long period afterwards. The guest will have the chance to visit the startling Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque lactated inside the citadel. Mohamed Ali, who is considered the founder of Modern Egypt, decided to build this amazing mosque between 1830 and 1848 AD to look like the great mosques built by the Ottomans in Istanbul, like the famous Aya Sofia Mosque -
Your next visit of the day will be to the Pyramids of Giza, the most popular monument in the whole world, built by the pharaohs from the period starting from 2590 BC to 2480 BC. You will have the chance to explore the wonders of the Great Pyramid, the largest Pyramid ever constructed in Egypt which was built by King Cheops in 2589 BC, and it is the only remaining item in the list of the Greek Old Seven wonders of the world. You will discover the beauty of the lion's body and the human headed sphinx, one of the largest monolith statues in history of mankind.
Your tour will be accompanied, all the time, with wonderful historical interpretation explaining the reasons behind building such massive structure.
Your last visit of the day will be to Khan El Khalili, the largest and most famous touristic market in the world. This bazar, built in 1382 during the Mamluk reign, is the best place to shop for Egyptian gifs and souvenirs to take home from Cairo.
At the end of the day you will be transferred to your hotel for a free evening to explore Cairo on your own style or relax for the tours in the coming day
Overnight in the hotel
Day 3 : Cairo – Bahariya Oasis - White Desert After having the tasty breakfast in the hotel, it will be time to check out the hotel.
The guest will take the comfortable private air-conditioned minivan to the Bahariya Oasis, 365 kilometers to the South West of Cairo.
We will go around the oasis to explore it and view the natural water springs and the wonderful natural scenery. -
We visit the Valley of the Golden Mummies; this necropolis dating back as the largest and most important tombs belonging to the Roman period was discovered by Zahi Hawas in 1999. There were hundreds of tombs scattered over a surface area of 36 square kilometers. -
We reach the Bahariya Oasis, Check in the hotel and overnight
Day 4: White Desert - Bahariya Oasis After the energizer breakfast, the guest will start his day with an amazing tour to visit the wonders of the Western Desert
Afterwards, we ride in the comfortable air-conditioned 4X4 jeep to start our tours of the day
Our next visit of the day will be to the Black Desert, which was named that way because of the color of the rocks and mountains located there. These rocks have gained their colors from black quartz that are present inside numerous rocks
We then we continue our trip to the Farafra Oasis, and on our way we visit the crystal mountain, one of the most famous attractions of the white desert. This Egyptian Western desert wonder consists of large quartz naturally formed crystals inside many rocks and stones creating a startling magical scene.
Our last stop of the day is the most interesting as we visit the internationally famous White Desert, the most important attraction in the Western Desert of Egypt. Covering a surface area of around three thousand kilometers. It consists of bizarre chalk white rock formations that were once the surface of a shallow sea that covered this area in prehistoric times. The rocks create all sorts of shapes like mushrooms, animals, and strange looking sculptures. All this area has become a natural protected area during the last few years.
At the end of the day, we set up our camp in the desert to enjoy the magical atmosphere of the region, watch the stars, have an amazing barbeque party, and spend the night in our comfortable camp.
Day 5 : Bahariya Oasis - Cairo - Aswan After having the breakfast we prepare in our camp, it will be the time to go on with our fabulous tour of the Western Desert
Our first stop of the day will be at the Farafra Oasis, located 180 kilometers to the South of Bahariya where we have an amazing chance to swim in one of the natural water springs located in the city.
Our next visit will be to Badr Museum, which is a splendid small museum hosting the work of Badr Abdel Moghny, a self taught local artist, illustrating the art and the culture of the Farafra Oasis -
Afterwards we drive to the Dakhla Oasis, the capital of the Egyptian oases during the Pharaonic times which is now famous for its many historical sites, natural scenery, and handmade products. We visit the old City of Dakhla with all its re while listening to a wonderful illustration of the history of this popular oasis. -
Our next visit will be to Al Qasr, which is an ancient Islamic village with houses and mosques all around it this village was inhabited more than 500 years ago.
Our next stop of the day will be to the visit the temple of Deir Al Hagar or the monastery of the stone in the Arabic language. This temple which was constructed during the Roman period and in particular during the reign of Nero (54- 68 AD) is dedicated to the Theban triad; Amun, Mut, and Khonsu and it is considered one of the finest examples of the architecture of the period.
At the end of the day, we check in our hotel in Dakhla and overnight in the hotel Day 6 : Aswan After having breakfast in the hotel, we go on with our tour
We reach Al Kharga Oasis. Inhabited since prehistoric times, the Kharga Oasis is the most populated town in the Western Desert. We check in our hotel in the Kharga Oasis
Our next stop will be at the temple of Nadura, built during the Roman era, most probably for the worship of the spouse of Amun. The ruins of the temple contain marvelous preserved wall paintings
The next visit will be to the Kharga Museum, hosting a number of exhibits that were found in the area dating back from prehistoric times to the Coptic period
Our last visit of the day will be to the Temple of Hibis. It is a marvelous temple dedicated to the worship of Amun Ra of Hibis and it is considered to be the largest temple in all the oases. The construction of the temple was started by Psammetichus II (595- 589 BC) who ruled during the reign of the 26th dynasty and the building work was completed by the Persian king Darius I (521 – 486 BC) and was enlarged during the periods of Nectanebo I and Ptolemy II. -
Overnight in the hotel
Day 7 : Nile Cruise After having the best breakfast, we take the comfortable mini-van to Luxor
Check in the hotel in Luxor and have a free night tom explore the city
Day 8 : Luxor - Nile Cruise After breakfast, we head to Luxor airport for your final departure after spending a marvelous vacation discovering the wonders of the Egyptian Oases.
